This is true, but it’s nice to not have to reinstall apps and tools! I got emotionally scarred once by a MacBook whose motherboard died and lost a bunch of data (😭) so now I keep lots of backups. Thankfully this was right after SGP ‘23, rather than right before.

Oh interesting! I wonder if road sign sizes are used for this - they’re *mostly* standardized by regulation, but deviation from the standard is permitted for visibility/space, so not a great ground truth.

I still need to find a good linear algebra library -- I'm used to Eigen, but that relies so heavily on the C++ preprocessor that it doesn't port over easily, even though D and C/C++ are ABI compatible.
