NASA’s new rendering of the Christmas Tree Nebula

Scientists have published the first detailed analyses of the historic cache of lunar soil and rock that China retrieved from the far side of the moon this year, and they suggest that the moon may have some new stories to tell

In February 2021 I took a photo of the lovely spiral galaxy NGC 1566 from my backyard. Then I went back and photographed it again December, later that year. I didn’t realise this but someone mentioned that there was a supernova (SN 2021aefx) in my photos! It’s that new bright star! ⭐️ 💥 🔭
