🐱 Bubsy the Bobcat V.S. Wild Woody ✏ (1/3)

I drew this. It was me. Take me away officer.... 👮🚓🚔🚨

NEWS: Brand new key art for Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection has been released! It's drawn by Adam Bryce Thomas, an artist for IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog comic series!

Fact #22: The Bubsy series pre-2017 has a total of 194 achievements across 7 games. The only games that don't have achievements are the SNES and GB versions of Bubsy 2. Bubsy 3D has the most achievements with 61 in total.

Fact #21: Bubsy 2 featured a promotional deal with NERF toy guns. The product appears in art and is a weapon in game that can be used like it's real life counter part to kill people....don't try it at home.

Fact #20: Keeping with the trend of Paws on Fire Kickstarter facts, Virgil apparently hates Bobcats. Bubsy x Virgil shippers are in despair

Fact #18: According to the Paws on Fire Kickstarter, Bubsy canonically hates puns and, interestingly, Twitter. Considering the current landscape of the website, we can infer that Bubsy would put the current CEO six feet under if given the chance.

Reminder that I'm open for facts, if you have any (real) facts about Bubsy please let me know and I'll try to post them when I can!!

Fact #17: On Valentine's Day 2019, Bubsy tweeted this Kickstarter ad on his now defunct Twitter account. While it's heart breaking to know he hasn't tweeted since 2020, I hope everyone has a PAWsome Valentine's Day. Remember, Bubsy loves you all ♥️

Fact #16: This is a screenshot of the title screen of a Bubsy 1 prototype. This prototype is currently lost and not dumped

Fact #15: There are little to no Bubsy Creepypastas, Videopastas, or exes. This should change I think.

To new followers: be aware that my posts are NOT frequent or daily. Bubsy's not as public or well known as other franchises, so finding facts won't be as easy as something like finding Sonic facts. Hope this doesn't upset you

Art from yesterday's stream! We got Bulb Berries, Dash Peppers, Weird Mushrooms, and Fire Flowers!

The Video Game History Foundation Library is now in early access. For free. For everyone. Wherever you are. Read more: gamehistory.org/vghf-library...

doesn't take very much time to find gold in the VGHF digital archive at some point in time, game magazines across the US were mailed a CD that has art of Cool Spot drawn as the dudes from Pulp Fiction

Fact #14: From @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social's new webpage, high resolution images of Bubsy 3D promo art from an advertisement of the game has surfaced! Check it out:

In an alternate dimension… #bubsy

Non-Fact post: I wish we would get some insight on the Purrfect Collection at some point, because it's been more or less half a year since it was announced.

Fact #13: Bubsy 3D: Bubsy Visits the James Turrell Retrospective is a free, unofficial Bubsy 3D successor made to honor it's 18th anniversary in 2013. It's arguably the second most well known Bubsy game. The creators would later make Sonic Dream Collection, proving there is no relief from art.

Fact #12: A prototype of Bubsy 2 was dumped on Christmas 2024, but unfortunately there's not much different from the final. Download here: hiddenpalace.org/Bubsy_II_(Ju...

Haven't forgotten about this account, just been busy! Bubsy Posting will resume soon!

Fact #11: The Bubsy Cartoon pilot was a failed pilot produced by Calico Entertainment and Imagination Factory Inc. that aired on November 28th, 1993. It was supposedly sponsored by Taco Bell. Yup.

Fact #10: An early pre-release demonstration build of Super Bubsy contains unused sprites from the SNES/Genesis version of Bubsy 1!

Fact #9: Bubsy 2 was meant to release on the Game Gear in addition to it's GameBoy, SNES and Genesis/Mega Drive releases! It was unfortunately scrapped, though someone seems to own the rom with no intent on releasing it.

Fact #8: On The Cutting Room Floor's page for Bubsy 1 there's a section dedicated to cheat codes! One of the codes allows for debug mode, which behaves similarly to how it does in Sonic the Hedgehog. Only the SNES page lists this, but it's possible that it's also in the Genesis release too.

I'll be back soon with my infrequent posting! Have a happy new year!

It's #ScanlineSunday. Or should that be BUBSY SUNDAY? Yes, it's time for some Bubsy 3D on your feeds. After all, what could pawsably go wrong? RGB Scart on a Bush/Goodman's 14" combi

Hey! I probably won't be posting facts this week due to holidays, but I wanna wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Here's to a better 2025! (Source: Bubsy from Twitter (please come back 💔))
