"Extra complexity" I'm 100% on board reducing complextiy but this is a drop in the bucket, the true problem is complexity creep in modern magic, I literally don't know everything that goes on in the board already. The rest, hard no. Commander damage adds tension and excitement to the game

Don't worry, they'll all be obsolete like Ragavan when Modern Horizons 4 comes out!

I love it in Edric! I draw so much that I also run Misdirection, Commandeer, but those are counterspellish

It's not banned, you can still play it

The problem is that the vast vast majority of popular high MV commanders out there are plenty powerful already without getting an extra boost. The cycle would boost the 99% of decks that do not help in order to lift up the 1% of decks that do.

The untap ability is sooooo good with the commander! I never realized it has flash until now 😂

I'd put Titan right in the same tier. Same level of popularity, same warping effect. I'd personally ban them too but apparently that's not on the table. I also like consistency, but not at the cost of play experience. If I can't get rid of them all I'd rather not add more of them.

I dunno about you but I personally would not want to add more Studies-level cards into casual Commander. I see that as a net-negative play experience for your average player.

JOHN BENTON 👀

It's also about ubiquity. There's a lot of cards you could argue make the play experience worse but nobody actually plays it. Everyone who can afford Prime Time will play it. Everyone. It has immense casual appeal. It will show up everywhere and dominate casual tables.

Hour isn't even close to Titan, it's not a creature and it's not repeatable. It's not just ramp like your other examples, it's both. And utility lands are much better now, Field of the Dead the prime example. This is like saying why is Griselbrand banned when Necro exists

I was considering Sense too but it's like $2 on Goldfish :((( My favorite of the bunch is Curious Obsession because of the +1 power

I made a $30 version and it's absolutely silly, not quite John Benton level but still a terror

I'm a big believer of Dowsing Device, been running it forever. The other two, well, doesn't hurt to try it for yourself 😂
