I've felt this so many times on my bike.

They've used the abortion issue for this for decades. Now that public sentiment has shifted on abortion they needed another issue to demonize their opposition while they clearly screw the working class. Woke is the new abortion for the single-issue republican base that gains nothing with their vote.

I am left-leaning and sympathetic to trans people. I feel like you should be able to do and be what you want if you're not hurting anyone.
At the same time, I feel like it has become a hot button issue to keep Republicans in office to continue giving everything to the ultra rich and corporations.

It's a lot more fulfilling to watch wildlife than kill it. Basic empathy for fellow living creatures.

Watching week by week as the eggs hatched and the baby birds grew and followed their mom around was really neat.

I have large front yard that I mow, and the last two years a quail(I think it's the same one) has nested and laid eggs in the middle of it. So my yard had a large circle where I mowed around it. This momma bird would watch me as I mowed around. She wasn't going anywhere.

The Meidas pod is really good. Discovered it during the campaign. Insightful and informative with some humor.

You're a very attractive person. But why do you hate Will Ferrell?

Elon is like the worst boss you've ever had. Zero empathy and likes to keep everyone around him on edge.

A scary thing about Trump is that I think he views the military as a big stick he personally owns to swing at everybody, enemies and allies alike. Thoughtful use of military power should be a last resort to protect our values and country. I don't think Trump shares those values though.

The best use of a military is as a deterrent and most people don't join with the thought that they'll get to kill people. Someone who does would be scary and wrong in the head as well.

I was a kid when I served in the Navy during the first Gulf War. I didn't kill anyone. I think a military situation is a little different than gunning somebody down because you decided it's the thing to do. But I think many soldiers have haunting issues from killing. It's still terrible.

And 90 percent off the population is probably somewhere in the middle of the far extreme. And elections are literally popularity contests.

I think murder and genocide are both wrong. I also think I'm going to agree with democrats much more than Trump. If you proudly did not vote for Kamala because she wasn't left enough you proudly cut off your nose to spite your face. Thanks so much.

Probably true. But I don't care what you think either. I was just sharing because it's kind of the point of this forum.

I guess, but I can't buy ends justifying the means with violence. I personally can't condone it. I completely understand the frustration that makes people cheer this though.

I would vote for AOC for president, she's young but fiesty and whip smart. And she's not beholden to any special interests. When she speaks it's inspiring.

And I blame the DNC for pushing Biden in 2020. Yes, we won. With a guy that was too old and uninspiring to prevent MAGA from storming right back 4 years later.
The party should be promoting the heck out of young charismatic democratic candidates. That's how you take it back.

I think we should start wearing blue MAGA hats. Show them how many people are against MAGA and it's ring leader.

Midterm elections are gonna swing hard blue. You watch. Then we have the power to put the brakes on this power grab.

Right but not electable. Trump in 2016 was weak candidate. Half the country had hated Hillary for decades, so let's run her. It let this whole thing get rolling.

Violence begets violence. I agree those things are bad. So vote for people that feel the same, and will work to address the issues.

Blue style making America great again. Universal Healthcare. Government paid higher education. A vigorous social safety net. Sensible taxation of billionaires. A strong, well-paid working middle class.
It doesn't sound like a bad place to be.

Two wrongs don't make a right. I agree the insurance f#cks are causing people to die. I want this energy as a political ground swell that causes real change. I don't like living in an America were political violence is normalized.

I just don't like the killing. And I hate sleazy healthcare executives as much as anyone. But brutal murder is brutal. If you can gun a fellow human down in cold blood something is wrong in your brain.

But his entire party and about 4 tenths of the country are still praising the emperors new clothes. I'm starting to believe we are really living in a simulation. Red pill, blue pill stuff. Nothing makes sense. Rome is burning and people are cheering.
