You should advertise the party's 10:1 pay ratio policy more! It's one of the best.

Outside of Adrian Ramsay the UK Greens are actually quite good, I think

Tell the story of that person finding overwhelming acceptance in their public life, only to be afraid of using the toilet because of this government.
Fight stories with stories. 4/4

To counter that, tell the story of the person who didn't find life worth living until they got on hormones. Tell the story of the person who found that transitioning didn't solve their problems, but did make their problems feel worth solving. 3/4

with trans rights - and the transphobes are winning that conversation with the "stories" (and that's an accurate word, as they're made up) about men deceiving people and invading women's spaces.

I feel the exact same way - although I usually use the distinction of "least favourite" and "worst"
like I think Death to the Daleks is one of the worst Doctor Who stories. But it's not one of my least favourite - unlike something like Underworld

Because despite everything, the members of PiL remain paying Labour members. So no matter how bad they get on trans rights, they can always see that queer people will still give them their money and vote, which is all they really care about.

And how successful has that LGBT wing of the Tories been? Completely and utterly unsuccessful. Same thing here.
These parties don't give a shit as long as they're getting your vote.

What I'm saying is its members can defect, and yes they should dissolve. Right now all that it is good for is so that Labour can point to them and go "see! LGBTQ+ people like us!" They think they don't need to win our vote.
I don't know anything that has actually been achieved by Pride in Labour.

And if this joint statement doesn't work, what then? Another statement?
What threshold does Labour have to cross for Pride in Labour to actually do something to hold the government to account, like leaving / defecting to a party that actually supports LGBTQ+ people? Because that is not Labour.

I think it might be the NIMBY types, or even those who are just anti-establishment.

I don't think there was much of a problem with how the rest of the story was executed given how the villain's motives were presented - but I think there is a fundamental issue with the villain's motives.
I wish it wasn't presented as "revenge" and more as "action against being actively oppressed"

I don't remember...
I was at the flat of a guy I like, and he asked if I wanted a drink and I said "yes" and he said well I've got like 16 types of tea and he just started listing all the types of tea I could have
and then I had to say "I've never had tea before..."
so I got given a "starter tea"

Definitely a massive improvement over Pete McTighe's previous scripts - although I did see an interesting point that this episode is still very pro-authority, it just happens to be authority we like.
I do think it did show UNIT as morally grey, but I would have liked to see that done more

Perfect should never be the enemy of the good, but the good shouldn't make you complacent either. We can strive for better.
It's better than the Tories did, but if 1/10th have already dropped out, it doesn't inspire confidence in me.

79 of which have already dropped out because the government hasn't actually funded it well enough

Do we know if there is going to be an official announcement of this anywhere? It would be great to have something to link to when telling people about how bogus the ruling was.

would be nice if he showed that with policy or literally anything instead of stripping away support and rights for trans people
