Most chocolate chip recipes say to use softened butter. Resist, beat cold butter. The dough will feel a little denser. Chill the dough after mixing for 15 minutes before dropping onto a cookie sheet. The less the butter melts the puffier and inside- chewy-outside-crispy they will be. Magic!

I think this is why my weekly go-to is a pot of soup/stew. I chop it up, let it cook on Sunday. Sunday dinner, and a week of lunches I don't have to worry about. Flavorful, seasonal, and healthy.
I'll usually do one or two other weeknight dinners, which give the kids some leftover choices.
