Could a woman ever be president (or are women capable of leading) was a legit topic of discussion when I was in high school in the 90s!

From the car seat behind me, at the age of 4, my son responded to the NPR story on the then-ongoing 2016 election: "Donald Trump has nonsense phrases."

I kept refusing to talk about it with my family all weekend.

Too little too late, NYT. You built this.

But the actual voter registration and checking your status on the web are clear, simple, and easy.

I think he and Gabe Sterling are actually decent at their jobs (I'm in GA) and they take pride in them, which is why the request to find extra votes really pissed them off. No doubt I disagree with them about a lot, and I don't think they are committed necessarily to expanding voting opportunities

When does this cross the line of free speech? Surely this is perilously close.

Any chance his dog just pounced on him in the night? Anyway, what a weirdo.

I don't know! I feel like I read about it on here and signed up.

It's all set up so you can do it from your tablet or computer, and it doesn't come from your phone number. There were like 250 of us in the zoom, and we just texted 250,000 first-time voters in Pennsylvania. Thanks @gregpak.bsky.social for posting about this.

Me too! I loved these episodes and they might have planted the seed that you can travel to different places (we were strictly the beach and Grandma's house at that point.).

This is the argument of segregationists everywhere - and it's a short leap to separate but equal. "But everyone can be different, they just have to stay with their own kind." He is a menace.

I got this same text and responded in the same way! Then I found out that my tween and teen had also gotten it (I don't think they told him to f off though). Really bothered me he's texting kids though

Ours don't go back until next weekend in the US. So confusing.

And we wonder why they are arriving at college with huge anxiety, depression, and suicidality.

I am always amazed to learn that he is still alive.

That is coming very near the lines I was taught in Constitutional Law. But I think now those lines are only for Democrats.

I bought 6 packs of 6 packs of notebook paper, when I only meant to buy 6 packs total. Lasted everyone through multiple years of elementary school?

That's the size of my house where I live happily with spouse and kids!

FIRE is occasionally correct (not about Lenin though) but always annoying.

I posted it to see what would happen - I can't be interesting to FB, I mostly post pics of my kids for their grands - and 20 seconds later it was removed with a warning that more action could be taken if I kept "posting for likes."

Lots of federal resources in action, don't believe the hype. But, for example, this mule train packed in a cooler of insulin down a broken road for an individual. That kind of individual help seems easier with local resources at least to me.

If anyone out there is planning to airdrop supplies, they could do worse than to drop them at Warren Wilson. A friend's daughter is there and it's pretty brutal. WCU has wifi up and is doing ok (according to another friend's kid).
