Right, yeah. It seems to be part of the network that's centralised currently too. Video uploads go through Bluesky's servers.

Hopefully things like Perplexica will win the day github.com/ItzCrazyKns/... although if I could be sure that paying a subscription would remove the advertising and not bias the results to advertisers, I'd probably be ok with that, but come to think of it that sounds like the plot of The Diamond Age
