It's reducing these artists, who are in different genres with different musical styles and different messages in their lyrics into just that one distilled "feeling" that rubs me the wrong way. Especially when the more you listen to music from that era, you realize that they were always so much more.

Don't get me wrong. That so many of these songs can fit into a certain aesthetic that takes from a pretty rosy view of 80s Japan, elements of retrofuturism, or the "feeling" of driving down a city in the late Showa era or walking down a Blade Runner alley ain't a bad thing in itself.

Avalanche Software fortunately ain't Avalanche Studios. Besides, it's WB's fault. They keep making weird decisions with their game IPs, whether it's the patents with Middle Earth, killing off Gotham City Impostors, MTX in MK, and god almighty, the way they abandoned Mad Max.. Sucks, brotherman.

Every new character's gonna have people coming in, and there's always a few of those folks who are gonna act like this. They'll fall off hard later on, and a few whiners will remain. Hell, I still see people getting shit for maining Beatrix. Don't let 'em ruin the game for ya, it's their own salt.
