I'd say it's noticeably more difficult than the first game, so if difficulty isn't your thing, then you may not enjoy it as much.

Right now, I'm very close to beating Prime 2 and I gotta say, it might be my new favorite in the series so far, even though I have more nostalgia for the first game.
Prime 2 has a lot more creative ideas and a stronger hook in the story, it takes time to make you really feel for the Luminoth.
