I genuinely think it comes down to liberals' (smug and utterly unearned) sense of superiority. No one can offer correction, no matter how gentle, even when they're using the exact same rhetoric as conservatives.
In their minds, being Team Blue absolves them of any harm they might cause.

The way I've seen so many liberals gleefully use ableist and homophobic/transphobic language is so unsettling.
Like, bros, you don't have to use slurs. You already have language available to accurately describe these people: cruel, racist, callous, corrupt, depraved, violent, venal, genocidal.
