Seattle, WA There were thousands of people at the event I attended and many more events around the region and the state.

It reminded me of the crucial role public transit plays in these kinds of gatherings. Shout out to the KC Metro drivers managing hours of packed/overloaded buses.

I'm happy to find you, too. These are dark times, and it's good to remember that there are still people fighting for the world we deserve.

Haha, just joined a couple of weeks ago. I've been off social medial for *years*, but I'm still riding. :) Came back because I had an idea about supporting independent media and realized I had nowhere to share it.

It's fascinating to me what people perceive as "safe" versus "unsafe." I won't argue that there are no issues with transit because I live them, but there is SO MUCH DATA about the dangers of cars that people either ignore or view as acceptable daily risk. This is about making us afraid of each other

Yes! Hoping to get an April action started where folks cancel one streaming service and repurpose the funds toward a subscription to an independent media outlet.

Happy birthday, Clarence! Thanks for all the years of inspiring videos. I love so much about this and am desperate for similar changes in the US. 😭 I am curious about how the changes affected the rest of the city and the surrounding areas. Is there more driving in those places now?

Here are some I appreciate: @translash.org @truthout.org @realchangenews.bsky.social @respairmedia.bsky.social @streetfilms.bsky.social @democracynow.org Definitely not an exhaustive list!

What if, in April, everyone canceled one streaming service and repurposed the funds towards a monthly donation/subscription to an independent media outlet?

Heyyy, Clarence!

What if everyone committed to canceling one streaming service and redirected those resources (in the form of a monthly donation/subscription) to an independent media outlet? This would help shore up independent media at a critical time and have the added benefit of reducing corporate power.

So much to say about this! I have missed dozens (if not hundreds) of transfers at MBTC over the years because of it.

I feel this.
