I sometimes rant about the things I like, mainly games and anime.

Not on here, thankfully. I deleted Twitter on my phone after getting bomb with it left and right.

RGG really goes ham with all the features and I love it

I think it was just shown bc of graphics, since it was an in engine choreography and none gameplay concept, just a flex what they can do visually. Tho, when asked about it, the producer of the new VF, Yamada-san, said this is what they want their game to be

That is exactly what I mean with overreacting. It could literally be a better way of showing struggle or guard break instead of a wiggling stick. I don't think that it will be anything like supers, bc they literally said they want to stay true to its core

there is no need to panic over a possible added button, the devs literally said in the interview what the core of VF is. I see lots of people being weird about the smallest things, same with the possibly leaked image showing a "meter" making videos about it without knowing what they even see

As I said, I am not worried since RGG isn't responsible for the gameplay, the old Am2 people are, who worked on all the other titles in the franchise, they came up with gameplay that was new and fun before, without the need to be flashy, I trust them to come up with new fun mechanics+

The producers said the gameplay in new VF will stay rooted in realism and that it's Yamada-sans job to make it a fun game to play and since the old team is on it I trust them to deliver a fun game. RGG Studios' job is to make it visually appealing. Especially stages and character designs

VF 2 was the first 3D game using texture mapping for 3D character models. VF 3 was the first 3D fighting game using uneven battle stages, which Tekken copied and used in Tekken 4. VF 4 introduced the PKG buttons and the RPS system it still uses. VF 5 again was visually innovative.

The Virtua Wikipedia explains that very well. It's the 3D fighting originator. Virtua Fighter was so revolutionary that it's the only video game on permanent display in the Smithsonian Institution of Arts. With each iteration advanced, the graphical and technical aspects of 3D gaming.

For VF to survive in this oversaturated FG landscape, they need to be fresh and innovation was always something VF stood for. Staying still and only appealing to old players won't help, and they said they want to find a middle ground. Building upon the characters will do a lot too.

VF 3 had 4 buttons. PKG + a dedicated sidestep button, VF4 took that button away again, and the RPS system was introduced and carried over to VF5. I am optimistic about the new VF because the original team is working on the gameplay, and RGG is there to make it visually appealing + story content

I will enjoy it by watching others play. This gives me a similar feel from T7 when Noctis was a guest character

I can't count how many times I read stuff like "Childe has a banner every second update". I wish that was true, I would have C6 him now

When they decided to have a rerun update in 1.4, they had only 4 options. Venti the first released character, Klee, Childe, Zhongli. They chose Venti and Childe. Zhongli re-ran one update later. 2.2 Childe got a rerun because he was part of the main event. And 2.3 they added double banners.
