Silent Hill 4 had a few stock sound effects. Like a monster had the panther sound from Johnny Quest and countless other cartoons. The thing is I'm not smart enough to know if it was done on purpose. The MC spent a lot of time in solitude, so maybe watched a lot of cartoons? Kinda like Cable Guy.

I also didn't play it until much later. Great game. The Mr. X Nightmare expansion was a great addition that turns it into a completely different game. Played it a ton. I was expecting Diva to be the new generation's Shiva/playable boss since she's front and center in the trailers. Can't win em all.

I agree. The case doesn't get brought up a lot, but DE losing would have had an effect outside of games. The case could be brought up in other software cases regarding today's common UI elements, iconography, etc. Mobile user experience alone would be drastically different from brand to brand.

There was also another vague fever dream memory of Pacman drinking from a gas pump (???) I asked the Bing robot, and it even gave me the exact episode. It might have put on a list, but that's fine. Anyway, Gulliver's Travel is great. Loved the atmosphere and character design. YouTube has the movie.

This is Gulliver's Travels in the Moon by Toei. The thing about TV syndication in early 90's in Mexico was that you got to see a ton of great cartoons and movies from all over the world, but then you'll never see them again. Anyway, glad this mystery is solved, more room for useless information.

This game was responsible for my fondness of the "you die in the video game, you die in real life" trope. The PS2 era graphics, weird music, and the monster design make it feel like a strange dream. Great stuff. I hope Cyberconnect revisits it again some day.

The world will rot, empires will fall. But the Garfield Agenda is eternal.
