"if I just work hard enough, eventually I'll make it" No. cause if you don't make it that means you didn't work hard enough. And that isn't fair to your efforts. there are so many factors outside of your hands. So much success is luck, and failure is not always your fault. cut yourself some slack.

unpopular stance: ACAB includes Scully but not Mulder, because there's absolutely no way Fox Mulder understands what the law really is or that his job is to enforce it. he has less capacity for moral cognition than a K9 unit.

When I first started driving, there was a local clown that drove a vw bug. It was red and said “honk if you love clowns” on the back. I sometimes think about the day that I followed him for too long and wouldn’t stop honking. I lied that day. I don’t love clowns.

- AD&D and Vampire: the Masquerade. - I defended AD&D all the way until 3.5, then never looked back at THAC0- my homebrew world from those days is now my primary setting for my 5E stories. Vampire I don’t exactly look back on with much fondness, but it did introduce me to Hunter: the Reckoning.
