The BSCA provided $250 million for the program, to be spent over five years, ending in FY2026. Just three years of the five have been awarded so far.
Other mandatory and discretionary funding was also supporting the program, not just the BSCA.

This grant initiative awarded at least 150 grants to the tune of more than $290 million between FY 2022 and FY 2024, to grass roots community violence prevention programs, training and assisstance providers, and state and local governments.
The FY 2025 grant applications just closed in January.
