Enbies who grew up watching the X Files are more likely as adults to have STEM-related careers and also believe in aliens.

A ranked ballot lets voters specify their 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices etc. For example, my 1st choice might be Liberals and 2nd NDP. Voters have more power to express their full opinion and they don't have to worry about vote-splitting. Encourages positive behaviour, as parties need to have wide appeal.

I'll be talking about some of this at the rally at UCSD tomorrow, thanks for having me!

The man is human pollution, America's id. The international community is going to rally against this country to make sure we're hurt for decades because of all of this and we'll have deserved it.

My mom just sent me a reminder that 13 years ago today I stood up in front of a room and defended my PhD. Never would have imagined that I would spend my defense-i-versary protesting for the future of science in the US. But I am - because Science is worth the fight!

Trump solamente esta enculado porque el no hablo la otra lengua majora de los estados unidos (y esta desmasiado perezoso a appredender).

Fuck Olivia gonzalez-britt. I was there today. There were not dozens, there were hundreds. And she decided to take a quote from the literally ONE pro trump guy I saw all day walking all over during the gathering. www.10news.com/news/local-n...

Early childhood arrivals are culturally American in every way. They had no control over their situation and may have no knowledge of or ties to any other country. youtu.be/mzEEKPU3ZVU?...

I'm deeply concerned about where this is going. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/05/u...

🚨BREAKING. From a program officer at the National Science Foundation, a list of keywords that can cause a grant to be pulled. I will be sharing screenshots of these keywords along with a decision tree. Please share widely. This is a crisis for academic freedom & science.

Trump pushed out the FAA director because Elon Musk thought his safety rules were too strict. There was no acting FAA director at the time of the crash.

Fire near UCSD stay alert and evacuate if needed

Has Trump never met a First Gen citizen? They are 100% American. Constitutionalists and people with basic reasoning skills should not only oppose this, but also refuse to move the center on Early Childhood Arrivals. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/21/u...

I don't know how many of y'all are watching the migration of American TikTokers to RedNote, but it's the most fascinating thing I've EVER SEEN HAPPEN ONLINE. 🧵

Enoki!! My favorite!

Thank you to Yao Wei and Thomas Ho for hosting the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Postdocs in Singapore! We had a great time and hope to visit again soon!

💡 A little-known fact with significant health implications: on average, a person inhales approximately two tablespoons of dust every day.

Networking with Thulie was definitely the highlight of the conference.

This is fascinating! Congrats @brunetlab.bsky.social & colleagues! Cool findings on vascular/pericyte & meningeal/perivascular fibroblast cell types - important to exercise to keep those 🧠 blood vessels young and functional 🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♂️...but also what are the fibroblasts up to?!? 👀 🧪 #BBB #fibroblast
