In BS Zelda, items dropped by enemies can be picked up by your weapons and subweapons like the sword and boomerang. However, any rupees planted in an indoors location that are not a random drop can't be picked up by this method - the player needs to touch them directly.

BS Zelda build differences between premiere and reruns can be hard to spot... But I found one! In the Premiere, the whirlpool that blocks your access to level 5 in episodes 1 and 2 has the same tile graphics as an underwater Zora. But in subsequent rebroadcasts, it has new art!
