Cool connection, it's by the developer who did the sprite work for "Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden" and you can really tell once you learn that.

I never understood that argument, Mitchell's a slob, but he's literally the most uncorruptable and "professional" cop in the film. The plot kicks off entirely because he's the only one actually investigating the murder at the beginning.

So, it's over then? If the only way to face consequences for breaking the law is to lose an election, the logical move is to then rig the elections. Since it tautologically won't count as a crime.

I don't know if it's me getting older, but I swear the SFW ones are the funniest. To be fair they're all pretty good.

"very calculated move" I mean yeah you don't just get to be Pope randomly, they made a whole movie about how complicated it is.

I mean, letting one guy decide things in the first place is collapsing everything. The part of your government that's supposed to be in control of this is refusing to be in control of it. There's a point where Trump is just sucking up the blame that half your political system deserves.

One of the first things you learn once you start working is that this counts as politics:

The real life story was an ancient kind of proto-fascistic propaganda, which inspired a semi-fascist author to make a comic version, which became a film nudged to help become "Saving the West" propaganda during the american wars in the middle east. The story of the story is more interesting.

Once spent a warm lazy Sunday with half a gay bar enraptured by telling them the story of the Second Pacific Squadron. Unironically most dad-coded thing I've ever done in my life and that includes becoming a father.

Unironically the greatest advert for cheap wine.

What I don't get is, men ARE being told that they're bad and always have been, be right wingers grifting over fears of masculinity. As a non American, the only thing I ever see Jessie Waters is call men gay for eating various foods, liking 'wrong' kinds of women, having hobbies etc.

Well exactly, it's not like it's a good thing to have a gestapo in the first place. In WW2 it was good in the sense that they couldn't break the resistance movement which helped topple the Nazis. Guess we'll find out how it works this time.

There's countless papers on how the Gestapo thankfully never ended up being that effective since the majority of the "denunciations" they received were just people weaponising grievances against each other. Banality of Evil goes both ways. core.ac.uk/download/pdf...

They could treat both groups the same and it'd be an improvement whichever way they accomplish it. Almost impressive to fail that badly.

If the logo's all knifey and yella, you got Lufia there fella, if it's silver or reddish-brown, you're in Lunar town. Now there's multiple exceptions and it gets kinda tricky from here...

The whole point of DEI and 'wokeness' is that society isn't a meritocracy, that political establishment promotes cultural and ethnic hegemony over ability the first chance it gets. That's why they attack it the way they do. The best way to fight a good idea is to insist it already exists.

That they're not using AI to create the covers feels like the real life version of a plot hole.

It's got that Rust trick of being filled with just enough side activities that larger friend groups can play even if some don't like the main game itself. Bokoen1 had a good video of him just picking up trash and gambling and having fun ignoring the drug dealing entirely.
