As an English teacher, I think good writing is simply good thinking put to paper, so it functions excellently as a thought destroyer.

Excellent points!
I might add that if there’s no legal issues with IP present in a film, I don’t see why deals like this shouldn’t be standard for any artist in really any medium. They should own the fruits of the tree they planted, eventually at least!

An Australian crime/comedy show called Mr. Inbetween is the best show I’ve seen in a few years. Hilarious and poignant, great writing.
Bonuses:
- episodes are about 30 minutes
- only three seasons of like 8 episodes apiece so it’s a great contained story

Did you ever play the old Nintendo game based on this?

The love is well deserved! I’m an English teacher and I always try to steer my horror loving kids to your stuff… even got our school library to stock a few of your books. If I may ask, what are you currently working on? Thanks!

I’m late to this but literally everything @buehlmeister.bsky.social has written has been an absolute banger… especially love Between Two Fires.
A few more are Last Days by Adam Nevill and Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman.

I’m an idiot and wasn’t thinking of that lol, I was thinking of one of his more fun cameos instead of his actual self

Ok true but we all know that Sai King’s true talent is his acting, so what cameo do you want him for?

Hey Mr. Bouie, I know you said you have an induction stove… I just got one too, any tips?

I’ve literally looked to see if some artist had drawn a version of them to have a picture in my head… cool that the author himself has provided! Very cool.

It’s a bit of work, but you can buy green coffee and roast it yourself using a popcorn popper, and it’s less than half the price of the fancy bagged stuff. What coffee do you like, John?

Well, how far into Wizard and Glass are you? I think it’s maybe the best written of that series but it takes a bit to get into… I also get that it’s frustrating taking a pause from the main story too.

Man, in a day of depressing news this is a welcome respite!
How’d you like the last two books, John? They are neck and neck for being my favorites in the series… although I might argue that Wizard and Glass is perhaps the best written one.

Man, I’m excited you’re digging it! Once again, I hope you’ll share your thoughts on the journey. Long days and pleasant nights for you, sai!

I know they’re both horror and you said you’re a bit picky with horror but these are personal favs of mine… I actually teach a unit on I Am Legend for my 11th grade English class.

Very difficult to pick a favorite in this series but the next three are absolutely King all-time bangers, John.
What did ya think of The Gunslinger?

Mr. Henderson, you referenced this movie before but I can’t recall where you said it can be watched. Is it possible to watch this in the US? My wife is a sucker for found footage stuff and I haven’t been able to find it. Thanks!

Just curious if you read this… it’s an interesting (and convincing, at least for me) counterpoint from Mr. Bouie. Thanks for your essay!

Would you let us know what you think about the series please? It’s exciting to vicariously see an online friend experience something new and awesome.

Ok awesome… if I may advise… I love the first book, but if you find yourself getting bogged down, I would suggest skipping straight to the second book; it still works as a story that way.
Also in case you’re unaware, there are tons of connections to King’s other works in the DT, too.

Probably my favorite book series ever! Have you read it before, John?
