It's really surprising how entrenched the idea of American exceptionalism is in the US. I've talked to many seemingly normal Americans who deeply believe it.

Hi Dan,
I looked at this a few years ago and stayed clear. We're looking at structures again and our advisor has suggested a "Family Investment Company" structure, mentioning all the costs such as cap gains and sdlt due . I assume this is very different and legit Vs this fraudulent structure!?

You guys nailed the music, it's epic and works great with your voice. I think combined with "Greeking out" and my recent book gives me and my kids a good greek mythology base!

The sad thing is the private school level and benefits of a good one should be the standard for every state school. On the other hand plenty of state schools get better grades than plenty of private ones.

Surely one real point is everyone getting het up over 0.5% of the population... You're more likely to meet a vicious gang of roaming ferrets in the toilet than a trans individual.

Why? We've already paid tax on the money we earn to then put into investments and savings. It's as if people don't want others to increase their wealth and would prefer it all to be taxed away so every1 stays poorer
"Very" wealthy people have vastly more than 20k a year to sock away.

This is very much the case. Met a lovely family camping in Yosemite. He asked bout NHS, I commented about US healthcare for poor people/ bankruptcy, refusal of coverage. He replied that he and his family had excellent care provision as if that ended the matter and any possible issue..

I'd be fascinated if someones done a study on inheriting farmers of say last 10 years.
% of people who inherited farm tax free and are still farming it
Vs
% of people of inherited it tax free and cashed in and sold it for a massive pay day .

Aye, cash poor after they charged that 3rd tractor sitting in the shed to the company accounts while putting every living expense they have through their company incl all their clothes, bills, cars, half their food etc etc.
