🇨🇦 Librarian of a sort, just listening in for now. Getting around yyj on foot, taking pictures of small urban moments as I go. Music, trees, and good people make life worth living. Work in progress.

Playing with the light tonight. #nightskies #yyj #spinninglight

Shout out to Library and Archives Canada. A few months ago I requested information on my grandfather’s military record. I had little information to prompt the search, as my grandfather is long gone, and my mom has Alzheimer’s. Today I got 153 pg. file with photos, fingerprints. ❤️😭 Grateful 🇨🇦

Well hello. Just a stony smile from what used to be a Carnegie library, and is now the Victoria Indigenous Justice Centre. I moved here long after the library closed, but love seeing these little details. Glad to see it being used again, long overdue. #libraries #beautifulyyj #urbandetails #VIJC

May 5 is Red Dress Day, the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Today is dedicated to honouring the thousands of lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit people.

Wanna see something cool? At the Grammy's in 1976, Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Torme explained what jazz is. The result? The crowd losing its mind. 🔥

Playing in gardens among the sprites. Wildflower days and dreamy nights. Laughing sweet fae enchantingly free, with the drumbeats we sing, to all blessed be. -unknown- Blessed Beltane to those who celebrate, and a happy mid-Spring to those who don't! #bloomscrolling #flowers

Papa owl thanks YOU for voting! 🇨🇦

These are two of my favourites at this time of year, amongst the pinks and purples of bluebells, camas, and hyacinths. I love the sweet drooping delicacy of the fawn lilies and the deep richness of the crabapple.. #flowerpower #bloomscrolling #yyj

Tiny and perfect butterfly eggs. These are the kinds of spring miracles that matter to me.

A small and slithery friend in the sun. First one I’ve seen this year, felt like a gift!

A good day for #elbowsup in #yyj. I may have been the youngest person there (not really, but close..) Hearing the Raging Grannies sing “This land is your land..” was something special. ❤️🍁 #insolidarity #handsoff #never51

Maybe some fresh green leaves…some sunshine, from here you could smell the sea.

Some people are asking why Poilievre and the Conservatives are so much less popular among women. This is one reason: actual messages sent to female Canadian MPs. Misogyny pervades right-wing populism.

Damp days on Vancouver island. I saw two owlets too, but couldn’t take their portrait. #shroomscrolling
