I'm losing my mind here with PowerPoint. Does anyone know why PPT when saving, closing, and then opening again, butchers the quality and transparency of certain assets? There is no discernible pattern because all are imported the same from the same file format. All my assets are saved as .pdf 🧪

Saludos, Skylings. For this UW pic, I was literally upside down. In Lembeh, dives are so good, it can happen you empty the tank 🤦‍♂️ and it goes really buoyant (alu tank) 🤬. I had to fin hard against the surface to stay down. The frame was also upside down in my viewfinder! 🦑🌊 #UnderwaterPhotography

#marinelife Two similar pictures from the Florida Keys. The keys have been in bad shape from over diving, but the recent heat events were the nail in the coffin. Even the worst spots had some coral in 2019. Picture two from 2024 shows it is almost all dead now.

Hardly new info, but BSky should know: Warsaw's water quality is monitored by eight clams with magnets attached to their shells. If contamination in the water causes the clams to close, the magnets trigger an alarm and shut off the city's water supply. Thank you, little guardian molluscs. 🧪🌏🚰

Anyone else not a fan of the "Tr*mp admin is incompetent and stupid" narrative? We consistently underestimated them in 2016 and 2024, and I think this mindset has contributed to it, while also giving them some leeway to say "oops didn't know sorry 🙂".

So I've talked before about hard corals that can move. These are solitary corals such as the Fungiid in this image below. Well someone's recorded a video of one of these Fungiids moving, and they learned well from the ameboid ancestors: www.science.org/content/arti... 🧪🦑 #coralreefs
