It might have been illegal but it wasn’t wrong. And she fully acknowledged both points.

Lazy stereotyping. Come to Latrobe Valley. The young here are vociferously defending coal, gas &oil while deriding renewables & eschewing vaccines.

Imagine the outcry from the landlords if this became law! Real estate agents would love it. A market flooded with new sales.

So they get taxed on the $17K, not the $3M. But it should be indexed.

Saw your posts last night what you were listening to and went down a rabbit hole myself. My two fave Floyd albums back to back. This morning it’s the doobie bros & CCR. Music takes you everywhere and everywhen

She’s repugnant. But stopping smoking and drinking isn’t bad advice.

What wealth? What threshold? I’ll be lucky to pass on $400K to my two middle aged daughters who STILL can’t afford a home where they live. My poultry dollars won’t help much, and if it’s taxed it will help even less.

I still use two spaces between sentences, and an extra line between paragraphs. It just looks nicer.

I love her and I’ve never even met her! I hope she’s a future president, with an outlook like that. She could only improve the cesspit of US politics.

I’ve spent a large part of my professional life advocating for vax & trying to educate parents about them. Of the resistant with care & respect, you can really only win over a very small percentage. I fear it’s going to take deaths, many of them, to reverse this trend.

It’s ethical to buy used clothes and furniture. Of course it’s ethical to buy second hand books and records. Who’d have thought otherwise?

Who’d have thought giving kids something to eat and something to do and some way to feel good about themselves might be good for them and for society?

That was fascinating, thanks! Just got back to oz from Canada & Alaska and learned how quickly the glaciers are disappearing. Warning indeed!

Yes! It’s one of the reasons I have a monthly donation going to her. She needs reliable cash flow.

She never gets a grant! Even for indigenous health research. They put some white fella in instead of going to an actual expert. It’s sickening.

I make a monthly donation, she is inspirational. I hope no more parents have to experience loss like yours. Take care, Rob
