I get emails from startups all the time offering me large sums of money to use my characters in various grifts and schemes, but something I've noticed is how quickly they get unprofessionally aggressive if you bother to email back to say no thankyou

The protagonist, proud but with a sadness at their core, receives the call to action. The villain gets brought to justice, the princess gets home safely, the villagers survive, the hero gets honored with a feast, gold and the princess wants them to ask for her hand. The sadness, however, would win.

Vampire Moment

All we are and could be in the moment is our experiences, what we learned, and our brainchemistry hopefully not making us randomly sad. While that means our "free will" is relative, it also means the more we understand of the world and ourselves, the better the objective choices we can make.
