The compositing really helps the models shine, just great work all around
Upon re-rereading the caption: "Ohhhhh..."
Then they're still accurate 'raptors *and* work size/shapewise ^.^
Crichton probably would've based them on or just had them be Utahraptors if they'd been discovered when he wrote the novel
(Can recommend the Raptor Red novel by Robert Bakker, for anyone who enjoys xenofiction!)
On the first clip, the person doing this project commented that, the size was the only thing they couldn't change, as the new models need to overlay over the old ones for compositing.
But they noted, that irl Raptors were smaller!
the compies, who were arguably more aggressive than the raptors, were small
I now fear the fluffy featherbois.
So when that kid talks smack about a 6ft turkey, he clearly never met a turkey with anger in its heart. A 6ft turkey sounds like a nightmare.
I think Utahraptor was discovered shortly after JP was released and was nearly named after Spielberg as a result.

I use to have budgies and Cinderella use to pulse her face feathers whenever she got upset. She even had different ways she fluffed her feathers depending on her mood. I was hoping the movies would show something like that because I can imagine it being terrifying on a large bird
Why is goth Big Bird trying to kill us?!
*rips your arm off
I want it to be MAJESTIC AF!
>Still 2 meters tall
They do look amazing though
But like, this was dinosaurs made by humans. Them not being scientifically accurate doesn't matter. They're artificial creations.
How long did it take you to do this though? Because hot damn.
we are saying: this is really cool.
Seeing the eyes react near the beginning was chilling.
DePalma is such a sketchy character.
Not Utah Raptor..
Its getting so you can't trust a dinosaur disaster movie at all any more
Amber does NOT preserve DNA...
Most of the dinosaurs that appear in the movies aren't from the jurassic period, including the T-Rex. Dimetrodon, in JW: Dominion isn't even a dinosaur at all!
Fun movies, but not the place to get dinosaur facts.
But I love them, nice work!
They really don’t make movies like they used to…
And I’m FURIOUS it wasn’t renewed for another season
Also although I don't think as good, it was considered the spiritual successor to Labyrinth, Mirror Mask.
I love season one. Season two when the narrator got replaced and it was focusing on Greek myths, I did not think it was as good.
Hilariously, they actually discovered that there was a similarly sized species the same year the movie came out.

My comparative anatomy professor (Dr. Scott Hartman) was helping me with a final project for my evolutionary biology class, and he recommended that I use this clip in a presentation (with citations ofc).
Again, this is fantastic. Feathered raptors are majestic af
Venha e diga q ele está errado
Q é o tipo errado de raptor
Diga
something far more visceral about being hunted by something that your brain recognizes as an animal.
A dream come true.
🦖😍
He wouldn't survive.
There's a reason no one messes with the bus station turkeys.
Now, swans - just stay TF away from those mofos.
There ARE dromaeosaurs that size - Utahraptor would fit the spec.
But I _really_ like how they look and are inserted into the footage!
They're badass...and honestly kind of adorable. In a murdery way. I like birds, so I'm biased.
Ça leur donne aussi un peu plus de volume et donc plus de menaca, c'est encore mieux.
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
"Though T-Rex thy life may threaten, thou" I said, "art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim dromaeosaur,
Hammond no expenses sparing,
As you open up the door",
Quoth the Raptor "Nevermore"
very cool danger chickens. How long did this take to make?
