My personal pet policy dream would be for the 'nationalization' of all professional sports teams. If they're going to be subsidized by public dollars rich dudes shouldn't own them...

With Trump slamming homebuilders with all kinds of new costs (from tariffs and deportation-caused labor shortages) it's crucial for cities and states to make it easier for people to build housing by changing zoning and streamlining permitting.

There's still time to submit written testimony in favor of these common sense proposals to give cities the tools to build more housing. Please take 1 minute to do it today!

Every Tesla has a swastika on it whether you can see it or not.

If Carmen Rubio did that Tesla hit-and-run today, she’d be viewed as a hero

Finally one I can support

Excited to give this a listen!

Local party organizations like this are generally pretty irrelevant, but this is wild!

Always wondered how the Star Wars Emperor could start with a battle-hardened army and end up with an "entire legion of his best troops" being beaten to death by teddybears with sticks. Then Hegseth ended up as US Defence Sec. And now yeah that makes sense.

It's almost like we told them if they did this we'd sue them...

I think I might have followed too many shitposters...

The most shocking thing about this is that anyone took him at his word.

Your friendly reminder to opt-out of TSA facial recognition every time you fly.

Loving this branding from our CA member - Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA). And love how everywhere I go in LA someone recognizes it.

The fight over LA's recovery is coming quickly. Newsome and CA state leaders must not compromise on immigrant rights for fed. disaster funds. Staying unified in this principal will test our solidarity and unity to the extreme.

With everything going on in the news it's easy to forget that Altadena burned just a few weeks ago...

I've been hearing concerns about the suspension of new building codes in LA for rebuilding from the fires. Would love to talk to someone who knows more about what exactly this means for the rebuilding effort.

Spanish Language Resource Fair for Eaton Fire Victims tomorrow - 11 am - 4 pm CHIRLA will be helping people navigate assistance and know your rights

Feeling the full range of extreme weather as an ice-storm in PDX delays my flight to LA to talk to immigrant families displaced by the wildfires.

Going to LA to help with wildfire recovery tomorrow. What should I do or see with a free Friday and Saturday evening?

States with more renewable electricity do not have consistently higher power prices. Nor do they have consistently lower power prices. Power prices are determined by lots of forces above & beyond the generation mix.

🚨Earlier than expected breach of Paris Agreement threshold: Unlike some media articles about this yesterday, the two Nature reports on which those headlines are based are *free to access*. Here's one (Cannon):

Isn't one of the main points of 'The Art of War' that logistics matter more than you realize?

If you’re an immigrant and you received official documents from the government telling you you can vote, why would you not believe it? It’s not these people’s fault the state made an error in who got the documents.

Prosecuting people because the govt made a mistake and they didn't catch it just leads to people not trusting the govt. This is a bad move.

It’s important to stand up and fight back on anti-immigrant hate on all fronts. This is an important part of the fight and I’m grateful for the Mayor’s leadership here. www.portland.gov/hello/news/2...

It’s very cold and rainy/borderline slushy outside, but well over 50 people have turned out to Portland City Hall to protest the city issuing Zenith Energy a Land Use Compatibility Statement earlier this week.
