Clearly you avoided Trump Towers.

It really is one of the most striking stories that I've read in my thirty years! I read it last year! The Monk by Matthew Lewis is such an experience! And yes, Northanger Abbey is better when you know a bit about gothic literature at the time!

Well, we know that the Musk and Trump gang have a real double standard. There is something so horrifically cruel about the whole thing, taking glee in laying people off, finding any excuse that they can. Why did people think that these people would make government work better?

As the CDC can't do their damn job due to the country thinking that a fascist would make their eggs cheaper, it's good that the American Medical Association is putting this information out.

Yeh, that comic shows what it's like doing the we need to work across the aisle. Especially as the Sith are obviously based on a lot of the GOP. We have to be a proper resistance against them!

Really? David Tennant is bad for playing a villain? I wonder which... god, it's stupid anyway. Do they not get how acting works? By that same logic, shouldn't they like him for playing a hero who saved the world multiple times? DW Twitter really is pretty stupid.

Ceding ground to the right is terrible. Labour needs to take the fight to them rather than listen to those snarling about diversity and cancel culture.

Yeh, this cartoon is basically what it looks like with Trump blaming Ukraine over Russia invading them.

Yeh, that cartoon pretty much illustrates how Trump is talking about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Thx! I got it from my parents for Christmas! And got one from my brother for Christmas that really goes with my hair!

I think to troll the hard Right the writers could dream up some really, really "woke" stories for Dr Who for Lozza Fox to be forced to perform, eviscerating his own politics...
That would be very funny!
But I gave up on Dr Who a while back - too much money and too earth-bound these days

No doubt the same people would say that Gareth Roberts should run the show.

Transphobia rots the brain, as Graham Linehan proves. Therein is the straight route to supporting fascism! People who say that hating trans people led them to Trump... yeh, fuck them.

Just looking back at these, and it's so lovely to see GRRM meet these cats! I wonder if there are any cats of a different coat...

I agree, I do some reading every day and always read before sleeping, and it really does help!

Ah, The Plumb-pudding in danger, or, State Epicures taking un Petit Souper. I do like a bit of alluding to classic satire! That is pretty much what it looks like with Trump and Putin!

A fun little bit of trivia about the family of that actor! Saying this as quite the fan of Ian Richardson, even if not an eater of the Jaffa Cake!

Labour acting like the party who just got booted out of power... don't think that they can quite see the problem here.

Yeh, no wonder that Canada is booing the US national anthem, with Trump talking about annexing them. Would you expect Ukrainians to cheer the Russian national anthem in the 2010s?

Do they get the concept of how acting works? Like do they think that Peter Cushing actually blew up a planet or that Jim Broadbent did dodgy police work (in more than one place!).
Incidentally, I forget to check for you on here! Following!

Just remembering that "Des" was advertised here (in Scotland) with the strapline 'a very Scottish serial killer', which was I thought what an odd sales pitch, like we were thinking "I enjoyed Silence of the Lambs but I thought it was a shame that he didn't eat more shortbread"

I swear fandom exists in this black and white world with no nuance (wow big shock). Wait till they see what happens when their other favs have ever played anyone who isn't a shining example of moral high standards. Not like Chris, Matt, Peter, Jodie or Ncuti have ever done the same.

Suitably enough, I saw him playing a certain killer in The Scottish Play from a stream at the theatre on the 12th. I suppose that they think this means he has political aspirations.

If things are getting scarce, then those rich people are going the way of the weasels that upset a merman! Mayhaps.

I wouldn't even engage with that post by those fascist clowns saying that Loozza Fox should be the next Doctor. I suppose that they want Noel Clarke to be the companion and Gareth Roberts to be the showrunner too! The whole thing feels like a ridiculous joke.

Great! Selling that ugly swasticar and giving the proceeds to something good! Good on Sheryl Crow! You wouldn't want to be driving it and have people think that you support the fascists!

I rather like the double meaning here around Trump and the Tates.
