Are you thinking of the Meltrandi power armor? Cause I can see it.
Also, Ikuto Yamashita is great.

Not what I had in my mind when drawing them, but I love me some Studio Nue, so it's bound to creep in everywhere.

I'd say recognizing what you're unhappy with and wanting to do better makes you a good painter, not a bad one.

It's what keeps me grounded and I hope it does the same for you.

I know what you mean.
I'm alternating between flailingly hoping to make some, any, positive impact on people's day and the feeling of utter sinking dread.

I prefer form over function myself. Make 'em pretty and you've won me over.

Can we make it a reality show?

Oh for sure. That was a large part of the design direction I was given.

For sure. Quick pattern recogition is part of our wiring for survival. Predictive interpretation of our surroundings to make up for sensory information reaching our brain rather slowly.
The spillover effect of that probably has some part of how we ended up creative and imaginative.

That's a neat layout!
It's interesting how you can play with the mind's cognitive need to read humanoid shapes "right". It sorta snaps to the template as long as you give it an excuse.

The idea with the overhang of the torso was to give the illusion of more realistic proportions, while having a pretty odd leg-to-torso ratio.

I was mostly being facetious, but thank you š
Also my shape language consists mostly of "ooh, pretty curves" lol

Thank you!
Hopefully they'll turn out fancier after some collaborative iteration, thus making me look more talented in the process lol.

Helicopter gunship vibes. I dig it.
