I’m so old I remember when people tried to convince me Gillibrand was a progressive, despite the fact she had been a blue dog pro gun Dem for years in her old congressional district, and shivved both Hillary Clinton and Al Franken in her rebranding climb.

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges. This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.
