in the trump administration, “merit” is pronounced “white” like how strom thrumond said it.

The Republican Senate has completely surrendered to Trump and Musk. Absolutely spineless. Now a Russian agent is our Director of National Intelligence. Every day our country becomes weaker.

Protect this law at all costs ! www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...

If this is a direct quote, it's one of the most irresponsible and reckless things a SECDEF has ever said

It's day 22 and he still doesn't have a plan to lower your prices.

Doesn’t have a plan and thinks he can keep blaming Biden.

Raskin: "Trump is suing CBS for $20b in damages because, check this out, he believes an interview with Kamala Harris produced too favorable an impression of her. That means I could sue Fox News because I think their interview with Trump produce too favorable an impression. I mean, this is lunacy."

You know I can’t remember even once hearing a Republican member of Congress when they were in the minority say “we can’t do anything…we aren’t the majority!” Not one damn time.

Here it is in a nutshell: 1. Trump is an authoritarian. 2. With the GOP controlling Congress, courts are key to protecting democracy. 3. So far, courts are doing a good job on #2. 4. GOP will next attack election rules like they did in 2021. Don't let the cynics convince you not to fight. FIGHT!

We need the best communicators among the Democrats to speak to the public on a regular basis, much like governors did during COVID. This is becoming more urgent as the lawlessness and lies accelerate and it gets harder for people to know what’s true. This should include Pete Buttigieg. Who else?

Jeffries on GOP "bait & switch": "Part 1, talk about lowering the high cost of living but do nothing about it. Part 2, enact massive tax cuts for billionaires that will do nothing to improve the quality of life of everyday Americans. Part 3, stick working Americans with the bill for those tax cuts"

Please remember something: if you had said a year ago that Trump would do even a fraction of these things, you would have been mocked, belittled, accused of “Trump derangement syndrome,” and dismissed by certain people. Identify those people and block and shun them.

"Press opportunities are a farce. If you try to get an autocrat to give you good answers and hold them accountable for their policies or actions, they’re going to use all the strategies they have at their disposal to not do that. Reporters are left with, 'This is what he said, but this is not true'"

“The complete indifference of the Republican Congress to the ways that it is being stripped of its core constitutional functions is demoralising” Charlie Sykes www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

🚨BIG SCOOP: Musk’s DOGE Teen Was Fired By Cybersecurity Firm for Leaking Company Secrets Edward Coristine posted online that he had retained access to the firm’s servers. Now he has access to sensitive government information. 🎁 www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

We’ve heard plenty about what Trump, Musk and their marauding henchmen want to destroy. But have you heard anything about what they want to build or in any way make lives better?

"The Founders knew popular election could install an authoritarian-minded criminal in the White House, and built multiple checks against it, including power of the purse. What they didn’t expect was Congress to weakly give it away."

From @nytopinion.nytimes.com “The Democratic Party is now in worse shape than at any time since 1980,” writes Doug Sosnik, who was a senior adviser to President Bill Clinton. But “history offers Democrats a blueprint for retaking power. The question is whether they will follow it.”

This is fascism.

We must keep asserting the facts, especially when Trump and the other election deniers try to convince their lies are true because they’ve taken power.

Bernie Sanders: "When Trump talks about sending to jail people who were on that January 6 Committee, that sounds like a tinpot dictator ... this is what authoritarianism is all about, it's what dictatorship is all about."

"The new arrangement represents one more step toward cooperation between political and economic development." -- NY Times 11/21/1938.
