This is important since the same alert distribution system is used for Earthquake Early Warning. Please share your experience to help improve future alerts, and forward this survey to your friends, family, and community! Visit www.scsn.org to fill out the survey and help strengthen these alerts!

They visited many sites, some seen in these posts, many of which have fire cams you can view here: buff.ly/BSS8gPv The trip looked like a lot of fun, with more interesting places to see over the next few weeks!

Working with local scientists and telecoms companies, they recorded significant data indicating magma movement in detail rarely seen before. This data and international collaboration helped the team develop an early warning system for eruptions in the area, and it is already proving accurate!

One possible way to add to the data set is to include station latency info. If you're a researcher who is interested in this data set, would you like to see station latency included to understand how it would affect your algorithm? Leave a comment here or go over to our X poll to give your feedback!

Jessie Saunders’ #SSA2025 poster explores how DYFI responses reflect #ShakeAlert performance. By comparing reported warning times with alert data, confirming they are reaching people, and improving ShakeAlert performance reporting seismosoc.secure-platform.com/a/gallery/ro... @jksaunders.bsky.social

Don’t miss Jessie and Ettore's SSA poster on using DAS for Earthquake Early Warning in SoCal! The team explores how DAS data could boost EEW by augmenting ground motion inputs or powering new strain-based algorithms. 📍#SSA2025 Poster 🔗 seismosoc.secure-platform.com/a/gallery/ro...

And also, if you were effected by the Jan 2025 fires, fill out our survey on alerts received, at the top of www.scsn.org! The same system is used for public messaging so your input can help improve alerts like today's!
