If you win in November, there’s just not a mathematical way for your conference to deflate. On the other side, there’s not a way for one to improve. Wake is a perfect example. They didn’t lose a buy game but it took winning 6 straight, 4 by double digits, to finally be a Q1 road game for the ACC

3-1 in the last four has a pretty consistent message from bracket people after yesterday, some have said one ACCT win others haven’t. But it’s a different situation than the 21-22 team that needed to have beaten Miami the next game because the wins were that soft

And I mean (with all due respect) that’s kinda the game. We all know emotions aren’t rational and usually lead to incorrect outcomes/statements. Bubble life sucks, go play and win the next game. All you can do

But this is kind of the point: it wasn’t. the people who are pouring a ton of time into the brackets and have been right year over year disagreed with this sentiment and today have Wake still in. So (and being respectful here) am I supposed to go with the people doing the work or the feelings?

It’s not just about not getting Q1s at home (which is a problem), you’ve played 1 more Q3 game IN CONFERENCE than you have Q2s and it’s double the amount of Q1s. The way the conference is right now if you’re not in the top 3 every game is a literal extreme

If you lost to the 7th (using as an example) best team in the Big 12, that’s a Q1 anywhere you play. Same for SEC, B1G is 2 spots away from a home Q1.
If you do it in the ACC it’s a Q2 road game and a Q3 home game. There is no middle ground. Every game is a Q1A or “god losing this sucks”

So you, unprompted, come to my mentions. Be snarky in my mentions. It when I do it back it’s a “woah hey now”, how does that make.. any sense?
