Currently reading “Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone” by Benjamin Stevenson and it is everything I needed. I don’t think anyone has been this successful breaking the fourth wall besides Deadpool #booksky #books #mysterybooks #bookrecommendation

I do think the numbers are skewed since fan fiction, online novels, web comics, etc. may not have been accounted for, but a majority of adults having the reading comprehension skills of elementary students doesn’t bode well for our future- especially the quantity and ease propaganda is distributed

#booksky I wasn’t going to do a reading log for this book because it was supposed to be a fun little break between Priory of the Orange Tree and Babel, but man is this book making me frustrated #readinglog for “The Unhappy Medium” by T.J. Brown ⬇️⬇️⬇️

So no ghost talk until page 120, multi POV’s and the MC’s POV isn’t even the most interesting one I’m only finishing this book out of spite #booksky #books #theunhappymedium

My biggest gripe with the #wicked movie is that I now have to explain to children that while yes there is a book, no they should not read it

Disability is a normal thing that happens when you’re alive. It is not a personal failing. It is not a failure of parenting. It is not a thing you earn. It just is. Bc we exist in bodies.

Multi POV books are the bane of my existence. No I don’t care about Sally’s best friend’s inner thoughts I just want to see Sally fight a dragon #booksky #books #reading

The reason people think disability and disabled is a slur is because they think being disabled is a bad thing (thanks years of religion saying being disabled meant you were a demon)

Don’t tell me your book is about a guy who can talk to ghosts if 100 pages in the guy still hasn’t talked to a ghost #booksky #books

Shout out to the concert venue that responded to my email about their service dog requirements with kindness and said they were going to change the info on their website to clarify Also double shout out to the manager who wanted to make sure both me and my dog were comfortable Rare SD handler win!

I want to read but work keeps getting in the way 😭 #booksky

Many businesses violate ADA accessibility laws regularly and rarely face consequences. Instead the disabled person is told to accommodate 🙄

I have this wonderful idea for a novel, but I’m too afraid that I won’t do it justice. Perfection truly is the thief of inspiration #writing #writingcommunity

I need abled people to understand that breaking someone's wheelchair is like breaking your legs. Both of them. They want to get away with breaking people's legs.

“The Stars Want Blood” by Morgan Lawson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Non-binary MC ✅ Great Worldbuilding ✅ Complicated romance you can’t help but cheer for ✅ Unique and interesting magic system ✅ Brilliant writing style ✅ I highly recommend you get your hands of this book app.thestorygraph.com/books/d69567...

Don't let anything or anyone stop you from making your art. The harder it is for us to survive, the more important it is. Society berates us for pursuing this kind of work but without us, there'd be nothing but the corporate and the disingenuous. You matter. Your dreams matter. Your work matters.

It’s been 4 months since I last picked up the metaphorical pen to write because the inspiration train has left my brain #writing #writingcommunity #books #webnovels

That’s why Gen Z was raised on dystopian novels about the common people coming together and fighting corrupt regimes

I’m not even a quarter of the way through #babel by R.F. Kuang, but it’s already my new all time favorite book #booksky #books #reading

Because I’m a glutton for punishment and have to read three reportedly gut-wrenching novels at the same time, here’s my Storygraph read along so that we can suffer together #booksky #books #reading #babel #darkacademia app.thestorygraph.com/readalongs/0...

Sometimes I hate foreshadowing because that means I now know something bad is going to happen and then I’m just anxiously waiting for the bad thing to happen. I have DNFed many a book because I couldn’t handle it #books #booksky #reading #theprioryoftheorangetree

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.

I read incomplete series because I have zero patience and want to avoid spoilers

Any recommendations for a classics novel whose author’s last name starts with L, M, N, O, or P? Trying to complete a reading bingo and want to expand my horizons in classics #books #booksky #classics #bookrecommendations

I’m ashamed to admit that I often read 3-4 books at once. Not because I’m a fast reader, but because my attention span can’t handle reading one book for a long period of time 🥲

Your friendly neighborhood librarian here...buy physical copies of your favorite books, especially challenged or banned books. Preferably from small local merchants. That's all; carry on. #Read #BookSky #Resist 📚

Reading Log The Priory of an Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon #booksky #books

Third time’s the charm right? After two false starts I’m hoping to buckle down and read this monstrosity of a book (said with affection). I don’t think I’ve read something this long since my college anatomy textbook 🫠 #books #reading #theprioryoftheorangetree
