Want to boycott companies that support Trump (and therefore Project 2025) and find alternate companies to buy products from? This seems an excellent site: www.goodsuniteus.com/app/ I’d prefer if I could filter out their senior employees’ contributions, but this is still super easy to use.

Airbnb supports Elon Musk... Support the alternatives: Homestay, FlipKey, Sonder, Hipcamp, HomeToGo, Blueground, and Vrbo

This quote is soooo relevant right now

Very interesting read on the power of peaceful protest against autocratic regimes. www.bbc.com/future/artic...

The American Bar Association is the largest professional organization of lawyers in the country and completely nonpartisan. They have issued an unprecedented indictment of the Trump administration’s actions over the past three weeks.

Elon Musk temporarily blocked from interfering with Fed payment system. Keep it up my peeps. There is power in fighting back.

Project 2025 co-author Russell Vought must not become OMB director. Call your Senator. The Senate is likely to vote on him this evening. (Thursday). This is the guy who froze federal funding last week. thehill.com/homenews/sen...

Well done people! From Lisa Murkowsi’s Facebook feed: “I want to thank Alaskans who have been reaching out to my offices in D.C. and across Alaska. The U.S. Senate phone system has been receiving around 1,600 calls each minute, compared to the 40 calls per minute we usually receive…”

Fantastic analysis of Trump’s strategy, how it shows weakness, and part of our role in fighting it.

Ways to take action against the attack on Federal Funds starts around 21:40, though the beginning stuff is good info, too. www.youtube.com/live/55yf3As...

There is a drum beat in my head: Midterms, midterms, midterms. November 3, 2026. 33 Senate seats being contested. 20 Repubs, 13 Dems. 5 battleground states Georgia, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗡𝗖 democrats.org/take-action/

Excellent advice on not being swept away by the overload of awful coming out of the White House. Wise friend summed it up: 1. pick a few key issues to focus on so you don’t risk just reacting and being scattered and overwhelmed. 2. Follow facts and trusted analysis. 3. Support each other.

First they came for the Indigenous place names. And Alaskans were like “lol no, try and make us not call it Denali you senile MFer”

Way to go Beau! "Alaska chefs Beau Schooler and Kevin Lane earn James Beard semifinal nods." "Schooler, chef and owner of In Bocca Al Lupo in Juneau, has earned multiple recognitions from the James Beard Foundation." www.adn.com/alaska-life/...

What a brave and noble person, to so gracefully ask for mercy for others. Christianity at its finest. We must protect such bravery. www.npr.org/2025/01/22/n...

the Gold Town is here!!!

“Tell Congress to vote NO on this bill. In a clear reaction to pro-Palestine protests, the House might pass legislation that would hand the government a dangerous tool to stifle free speech and punish disfavored groups. We must take action.” action.aclu.org/send-message...

I'm seeing a lot of content without alt text, some of it is really good. Be kind and add some alt text, please. Yes, it's an extra step but imagine being disabled, excited to be in bsky only to realize that you can't use it because there isn't alt text.

1 of 2: Using Lists: Not sure if this is "right" way to do it: I've stopped using "follow" for sources that I want to look at sometimes, but not all the time. (politics, science, tech, music/guitar, etc). Instead, I am now trying out putting these sources in different lists, grouped by topic.

Updated with some new info: notably, an estimated 7,800 votes are left to count. #akleg

Bluesky Newbie Tip: 1. Find someone smart and savvy with similar interest(s): 2. Check out who they follow. 3. Watch Bluesky burst open like a Piñata of yummy info.
