So it took more than a month after this article, with actual implementation of tariffs for the market to slide, but the S&P 500 is just now down 7.5%! Serious disconnect between market reaction and what expected turmoil will produce!

I feel like what we are learning from this experience is that many working in government agencies have incredible integrity. They declined a buyout and resign when forced to do something incredibly unethical.

musk isn't going to be irrelevant based solely on his net worth and what he can do with it. but in terms of his attentional power...the quickest way to neutralize that would obviously be to render x less useful/relevant by exiting it en masse
