I really enjoyed this one. It had such a great premise. I wasn’t too fond of how open ended the last part was, but overall, this was a great, spooky, read. Haunted house and witchy vibes all wrapped up into a quick read. 4🌟 #booksky📚💙

Started strong & interesting but quickly changed to uneventful & boring. When things were supposed to be tense, there was no tension-not in the magical elements or the romance. For such an interesting premise, this one fell flat. Oh & the dialogue-No one talks like that. It was cringy. 2🌟 #booksky📚💙

There is so much happening in the U.S. right now that I feel numb. I need to fight or do something, but I feel numb and blocked. My body aches, and I have a constant headache. Is this what it feels like to be in a reality where the megalomaniacal rich rule? Ugh - I need to lose myself in a book!

Some parts I liked. Most I didn’t. There are so many POVs & timelines. They switch quickly & often. It made the story a bit disjointed. The folklore of “the Birds” was interesting, but the aura of mysticism just fell flat. I’ve liked other Foley books, but this was barely average. 2.5🌟 #booksky📚💙

The books aren’t getting better! This one started so slow. Xaden and Vi were not amazing, but the development of the magical systems (and Andarna) is worth the read. It just wasn’t as good as FW (5🌟) or IF (4🌟). It felt like a filler book. So much happened at the end & it was rushed. 3.5🌟 #booksky📚💙
