I just finished The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling which was very creepy and good.
And now Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki, which I'm thoroughly enjoying even though it's bringing up so many mixed feelings from my violin playing days
Currently working through my reread of the Maas-verse so I can start sharing my theories as threads on here, but I’m also reading through an ARC I want to review when it releases in March, ‘Between Flames and Deceit,’ and one other just for fun, ‘Lights Out.’ All are fantastic so far.
Mists of Avalon. I feel like it just replaced “god” with “goddess” a lot and doesn’t embrace polytheism well. Other than that, I’m enjoying the female-pov of the King Arthur myth
King Leopold’s Ghost by Adam Hochschild. Yes, I like it but it’s also pissing me off for how colonizers treated native Africans. Great historical non fiction book.

Love it. I am excited for the weekend so I read uninterrupted.
It is a well-written, excellent take on an old classic.
