People talk about the fundraisers and the replies being frustrating and overwhelming, and I genuinely understand. But people don't talk about what amazing possibilities for love, for change, for struggle against a world destroying system THEY OFFER TO US by reaching out to us

Where did you get that ~2:1 number? I seem to remember seeing that kind of number being thrown around late 2023 but I don't remember if I'd looked for a source then; I'd be interested in one now.

Tactics like accepting 15 to 20 civilian deaths to kill a low-level target found by AI, killing targets with their families, instructing soldiers to shoot any "fighting-age" male, defining everywhere as combat?

It sounds like you're doing the same here by the way because while I can see how a Head Nuclear Scientist could also be a military official which I could see defining as "not a civilian" (though it's not "combatant" either), I'm not seeing where it says this guy is:

Israel doesn't "aim for civilians" in the sense that it's chosen, against international law, to widen both the definition of "combatant" and "combat situation" to the point it can define almost anyone it aims at as "not a civilian"
That's not what "not aiming at civilians" actually is however.

Searched for it, only found screenshots idk if it's because he deleted it or just that its fame precedes it by that much (I didn't go to the bottom of the search results)

Do you know Nathan Tankus? I don't follow him closely but he gave me the impression of doing something like this, with options for one-time payments on his substack (?)

I mean, clearly it hasn't been stopping that narrative seeing as people apparently have in fact been flying the US flag at the protests:

I don't know, have you checked they're actually the same people? Because there is a big contingent thinking we shouldn't demand boldness from our politicians either.

That's why it's scientific *racism*! There can be some tension between truth & liberal values but it's still generally the case that racism & prejudice are like defamation: truth is an absolute defense. The reason scientific racism was labelled "racist" is because it didn't pan out scientifically.

⚠ Update: Live metrics show the northern Gaza has now been in the midst of a near-total telecoms blackout for 24 hours; the disruption is the longest in recent months and continues to severely limit visibility into events on the ground 📉

That might work for protesting but are people supposed to parkour over rooftops to go home, Aladdin- or Spiderman-style

Hey wild idea: what if people tried having actual opinions and principles instead of going with whatever some survey says
