I guess my dislike would be Bobby Valentine.

There are quite a few players I like on this checklist but I’ll say Mark Lemke

Chipper Jones tweeted earlier about this and said to put him on the HOF watch.

I was thinking earlier how it would be a great looking flagship design. I’d much rather see something like this as an insert in flagship each year, where they do a modern take on a classic set. Or do it instead of Archives.

Nah, you’re not taking it too seriously. Everybody has different tastes.

Oh man, I like what I’ve seen of it. Not necessarily the chrome versions, but the base… like it!

I had some guy send a proposal: 7 cards for $7. All ‘24 Heritage commons. I get tired of those idiots on the site.

T shirts have gotten ridiculously expensive, so I don’t blame you one bit.

I have such a love/hate relationship with that company. I think I suffer from Stockholm syndrome.

This has been on my mind a lot the past two months. I turn 60 in four years. A month later, I will hit 40 years on the job & at that point will have given my company all I have to give. I’ll semi-retire at that point- drive for Amazon Flex or something for 2 or 3 years. I think of it daily.

Yes, pretty much. Will probably pick up the final Topps base card for HOFers project at some point. Breaking up my Topps sets now too. (football, basketball; sold most of my baseball sets off a couple years ago). You looking for any Topps basketball from ‘77-81? Also have some ‘75-76

I met an actual Rays fan as we were getting our car rental the other day. He noticed my Buccaneers hoodie and started talking to me. Was wearing a Rays hat. First time for everything, I guess.

I’ll be listening to the Braves game while we are at the San Diego Zoo Safari park. Tried to get Opening Day tickets but too much $$$. Will be going to Saturday and Sunday’s games.

I hadn’t either until the owner was featured on an episode of Chasing Cardboard.

“…Even more broadly in Asian collectors, they tend to buy and hold a lot more than American collectors,” Leiner said inside Topps’ pop-up shop in Shibuya. “A lot of what we find in Asia and in Japan is that when collectors find that cherished card, they keep it.”
