Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers. This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.

The best way for higher education to confront generative AI is to train humans to think like humans. That way, when it becomes inevitable that we have to use AI, we'll have a human foundation for it. But we've been teaching students to think like machines for decades. AI just makes it easier.
