Kistler's show was fundamental to my art & imagination in my youth - his documentary was an essential reach back into that feeling. Great guy, great teacher.

Frakes is a gift. I realized I regard him in company with @levarburton.bsky.social, Fred Rogers, Bob Ross, Bill Nye; estimable gentlemen all. Not only for skill on all sides of the camera but for their big-hearted enthusiasm & inspiration. Pleasure to (briefly!) meet at him @startrektour.bsky.social

My spouse (who has worked in the public library system over a decade) says they're now being forced to investigate AI-generated COOKBOOKS. The publishers and distributors refuse to identify them - also refusing to take them back if they've been processed and put on shelf.
Is nothing sacred?

Perfection - and it sounds so tasty, too 🍋
You remind me I just got an arrival notification for my latest Friday Tea delivery!

Me searching through the several teas on fridaytea.com with sage in the ingredients to see if you have a "Sage Advice" tea blend 😁🍵🧠

This calls for a story of tea witches & warlocks called the Gorgeous & Friendly Gems bedeviled by a Presumptuous Troll yet rescued from 'hot water' with cunning and asskicking by the Fields & Forest Spirit: Fae Friday

Sounds perfect - I prefer that individual touch too. Though funnily the guy I just messaged you about *was* a student of mine ... yeaaaars ago 😂 my old Alma Mater tricked me into coming back to teach 3 different classes which is where (to your point) I learned teaching a whole class is NOT for me

That enthusiasm is rare, crucial, and infectious - sounds like a great person with a bright future! I bet you're a great mentor 🖖

I didn't feel particularly cool with stacks of something between mini nintendo console and an 8-track tape. I had college design projects and early design studio piles of those things. Had to lug my own Zip drive from my dorm to the art studio
Zip and *.zip format was weird too

I love these little monsters. They are so cute - what's in a name? A spider by any other would be as adorbs.
But you're totally right - between them and my beloved Cellar Spiders (that I usually notice in my bathrooms) I'm all good with humble names for awesome critters

If you were on the fence for Redline,
beyond "just" racing, it is also a:
• LOVE story! Not muddying the pace; it's revealed that it was a love story all along
• tangential paranoid gov't + psychokinetic monster subplot a-la Akira climax
• crime & redemption tale
