Even if you don't think Iran would engage in the first-use of nuclear weapons, remember that countries with nukes often feel a sense of impunity and act with insane aggression. I mean, just look at what Israel is doing.

I honestly think it’s time for some Dems to start dropping f-bombs. On national television. Let’s start acting like the crisis this is

...and many of those rich people fund the Abundance Movement, which doesn't want anyone to focus on that hoarding

Considering what then happened to the Democrats (with Rahm at the helm) in the years after this 2007 book was published, this is now one of the funniest titles/subtitles in American political history.

Switching from Trump’s Amazon to the more diverse, equitable, and inclusive Costco is easier than you think. I made the switch. Now everything I need is delivered by Costco right to my door in two hours instead of two days - and without supporting oligarchs!

The two parties are genuinely different. The Democrats had Biden, a president in clear cognitive decline. They tried & failed to cover it up & he quit. The Republicans had Reagan, a president in clear cognitive decline. They successfully covered it up & he ran again & won.

Since coming of age during the Iraq war, I've been amazed/horrified at Americans' ability — both sides of the aisle, tbh, but obviously more the one — to shrug off Killing Tens of Thousands of Foreigners. Even the antiwar media is largely about how doing so fucked *us* up.

Donald Trump is the most corrupt president in US history: violating the emoluments clause left and right, engaging in a crypto coin grift while in office, directing business to his own hotels -- the list goes on and on. Please repost this if you agree.

I can't believe people are still arguing that you shouldn't judge a headline without reading the article. Of course you should. What the hell do you think a headline is? It's an ad for the article. If a headline and article aren't in sync, that's on the outlet for being *intentionally* deceptive.

Bribery in plain sight.

The answer to this question, of course, is that his wife would almost certainly get a good chunk of it via increased Social Security benefits. Fortunately, he doesn't know this and hence can go on living a life of continuous rage.

There is not a single Democratic Party official, powerbroker, elite, pundit, or politician who has faced any negative political, financial, or social status consequence from their participation in the decisions that resulted in their party losing two elections to Donald Trump.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Most Americans think about this as a day to drink Mexican beer. But the history behind it shows that it's actually about how rich countries are constantly trying to strangle poor countries. theintercept.com/2017/05/05/t...

This is meta-funny because kids do not somehow "earn" stuff they're told to share. It was just given to them. Thus this makes an important point about adults who won't share, but not the point this person thinks.

Taking a whirlwind trip behind the scenes of the Library of Congress comics collection! -J

The Human Genome Project cost taxpayers $3 Billion. Two decades on, it has generated a staggering return on investment of $1 Trillion, with benefits in medicine, agriculture, energy, the environment, & more. If you want to boost the economy, funding science is one of the best things you could do.

a President Bernie Sanders woulda been removed by a military coup supported by both parties and their pundits had he amassed this economic performance after 100 days in office

Not The Onion?

A Horrible Truth That Shouldn’t Be….

This is making me rethink the wisdom of appointing an alcoholic TV host with a long record of catastrophic incompetence to one of the most powerful positions on earth

I wonder if there is any chance Trump's crusade against antisemitism will lead him to go after his Nazi co-president Elon Musk and others in his administration pushing the "great replacement" theory.

Just so we’re clear, everybody calling Kilmar Abrego Garcia a “terrorist” or a “gang member” are lying, and they know they’re lying, and they repeat it for purposes of confusing people who don’t follow this stuff closely into accepting what was done to him.

Every year around April 15, you see an upsurge of the right's favorite propaganda about taxes — a specific claim with specific numbers telling you that the rich are being unfairly burdened. Please do not fall for it. theintercept.com/2019/04/13/t...

Trump wants his supporters to have lousy jobs substack.com/home/post/p-...

A few weeks ago, Chuck Schumer said that if Trump defied the Supreme Court, "Democrats will fight it in every possible way." I feel like one way the Democrats could fight this would be for Schumer to resign his leadership position in favor of someone who actually wants to fight.

I watch this video and think of the moral depravity not just in the room but in the electorate. It's not like this cruel tyranny is being hidden from the public — it's a central feature of the administration's own propaganda.

The Trump administration's plan is to give unchecked power to total jerks cepr.net/publications... It's very MAGA!

Fun fact: Trump's backing down on tariffs generated roughly $5 trillion in stock wealth yesterday. If Trump friends got 10% of that through advance knowledge, that's $500 billion.

Members of Congress should never be allowed to trade stocks. Period.

I feel like I'm literally the last person on the planet who is avoiding packed places due to Covid. -_-

What's the most unfair thing about American politics? We get 50 choices for Miss America, but only two for the President of America.
