Today’s office is brought to you by the cheapest oceanfront property to be had, a 91,913-word mess of a manuscript, two emotional support books (“No One Left But You” by the brilliant Tash McAdam, and “All the Light We Cannot See”) and several creepy horror movies downloaded for later. And snacks.

Jack & I met on August 15. She was 35. 1535 became our family number, password, her phone #, code for "I love you." Also, Jack loved driving so much that our 3rd date was an 800 mile road trip. She couldn't wait for our kids to learn to drive. E turned 16 yesterday. Look at her "random" DL # ...

Estimate how much time something will take, and then double it. This works for creative projects, friendships, parenting, sex, grocery shopping, grief, bus trips, dinner, bubble baths. Give yourself time, to simply not rush, allow for marvelous distractions along the way, or to let things go deep.
