NRDC, farmers, and our partners are suing the Agriculture Department for censoring vital data that could protect their livelihoods. These tools help farms adapt to climate change and without this critical information, farmers won’t be able to make informed decisions for the future.

From my colleague Muhammed: “Whether or not you have asthma or a preexisting condition, even if you don’t have someone in your family that does, you benefit every time you walk outside and there’s not soot, [nitrogen oxides], ozone, contaminating your breathing.” chicagoreader.com/news/illinoi...

America's second-busiest passenger rail line runs on a single track along crumbling Del Mar bluffs. When these cliffs erode and trains slow down, it cuts off San Diego's only rail connection to the rest of the nation. This affects everyone from commuters to cargo. 🧵1/4

Leadership is doubling down, but GOP members are getting nervous about the budget’s extreme unpopularity. You can call your Representative now at 202-224-3121.

March 2025 LA Metro update on Vermont BRT. End-to-end side-running BRT, replacing Line 754, with 26 enhanced shelters at 13 stations. Station renderings provided. They plan to get board approval that project is CEQA exempt at March board meeting. www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mt8bz...

If someone tried to do in France or Italy what Trump and Musk are doing now to federal workers, this would trigger a general strike, and the streets would be burning (especially in France).

Just in one year, just the clean air act, prevented hundreds of thousands of early deaths. The lowest possible estimate of the benefits found that benefits outweigh the costs by 3 to 1. The most likely estimate is 30 to 1. The high estimate is 90 to 1. Ninety. Nine Zero. www.epa.gov/clean-air-ac...

New York’s congestion pricing program has seen a strong start, with revenue figures from the Manhattan tolling plan showing it is on track to raise billions for the region’s decaying mass transit system. Here's what to know. nyti.ms/4bj0gDI

People willingly pay more or pursue discounts all the time depending on the value of their time. It's called FastPass and Happy Hour.

Visiting a bike path and park at the L.A. River, Rep. Laura Friedman voices concerns that such projects are at risk because of Trump administration funding cuts.

EXCLUSIVE: New York’s congestion pricing plan raised $48.6M in tolls during its first month, a strong start that exceeded expectations. The revenue figures, expected to be released publicly on Monday by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, are the latest sign that the tolling plan is working.

Just 9% fewer cars led to 20% - 50% faster commutes. It is an expensive and fruitless mistake to prioritize more driving when less driving overall is better for everyone!

Just caught myself feeling really good right now and realized it’s because I haven’t been in a car all day and I’ve been halfway across Los Angeles.

At a time of crises in social trust and isolation, CicLAvia is a powerful powerful antidote.

An awesome quote by Nithya:

I just emailed my Senators and you should too.

Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations is reporting that the US DOT has paused the approvals of changes to regional short-term transportation plans (STIPs). Unclear why DOT is requiring general counsel review of STIP amendments. This could delay investment in projects nationwide.

In many ways it's fitting that the showdown between monarchy and democracy ends up being over NYC congestion pricing. Cities are where the power of kings were first challenged, and few things are more fundamental to government than control of public space. The cameras are staying on!

For highway projects, states only pay 20% and federal government pays the rest, but for California High Speed Rail the ratio is flipped around - 80% comes from state government.

A majority of Californians support High Speed Rail. A majority of CA's High Speed Rail funding has come from our state, not the feds. We are going to build High Speed Rail, no matter what Trump and Musk say. ktla.com/news/califor...

Trump is on a roll. The day after trying to kill Congestion Pricing in NYC, he’s going to try and kill CA High Speed Rail. Why don’t we just go back to leaded gasoline, get rid of air bags and seat belts, and double deck our freeways while we’re at it?

American planes are crashing on a seemingly daily basis right now, but sure, go pretend you have the authority to do anything definitive on a project mandated by California voters, and still has majority public support.

Thank goodness we have Laura Friedman in Congress leading the charge for transit. LA Subway counter-programming tomorrow afternoon.

If you live in LA go to Union Station at 9AM to protest this criminal administration

LA Electric Rail supporters: show up to LAUS tomorrow at 9 with pro-CA High Speed Rail signs. We will not allow Trump and Musk to kill high speed rail! CA politicians must stand strong and finish the project. #BuildHSR #IWillRide

The govt should leave trans people alone! My god

Up with the stars and down with the traitors. Long live the Republic. No north, no south. The Union forever. 🇺🇸

Spartacus moment for every downtown to roll out congestion pricing
