Attached on the back are motors and cell batteries also from 3DuxDesign kits. You can see it best in the third video I posted. The students used what they know about circuits and friction to create the desired movement.

Google walking paper horses. I used www.agintheclassroom.org/media/5evp22... My fifth graders found failures and successes making horses w both construction paper and card stock, building inclined planes w various slopes, and testing various surfaces for friction. Hint: foam board works best. 😉
