Oh yeah, it's a very thin line between "this makes me nostalgic" levels of tavern sketch and "I think my foot may bust through the plywood floor at any moment" biohazard tavern sketch

it's not a tavern if it's not at least A LITTLE sketchy. That's what makes a tavern a tavern.

the important question is "Is it an Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh or OTHER?" because those are three separate but equally Loom-worthy tattoo types

I feel like DC USED to be called DC more commonly but at some point as the 24 hr news cycle became A Thing, it started being "Washington". And I'll always be cranky about it.

Being on the west coast, I always get a bit cranky about people applying this to Washington and Washington DC. Washington State and Washington. Like dude, DC has a *DC* modifier. Just say DC or Washington DC and let Washington be Washington.

Yeah even as a former marching band marcher, I can confidently say you gotta make an EFFORT to get out of step when you're well practiced
comment in response to
post
Yeah, 100% if you march regularly, getting out of step takes effort. I can't speak to military but I was in a marching band that focused on parade marching and my friends and I would fall into step with each other unconsciously often.

I also think the Quaker Oats guy looking like a Pilgrim gives Quakers some unearned American clout

As with most religions, it sounds good on paper but so many people absolutely suck at putting it into practice.

Tula-Tu isn't just a flower girl, she's also Grand Marshal of the Portland Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade. And although Tula herself won't be there tomorrow, she'll be represented by her care staff, adoring fans and a larger-than-life float!
