But on the plus side, she has contacts in heaven and speaks Angel. So she can hit the ground running when she arrives. Wow.

Open-mouthed here. Dear God, she needs help.

I’ve had to take a short break from reading the news for the sake of my mental-health Heather. Literally everything is wrong. I’ve never recovered from Brexit actually happening, but the good news around the world just keeps on coming huh?

the start of the Yashica/Contax period. Designed by Porsche Design. Horizontal cloth shutter with speed of 1/2000. Just a beautifully made SLR, both inside and out. An object of desire when I was 15, although the firm belief that it would make me a better photographer was obviously rubbish!

I won’t change your mind anyway. Build quality used to be awful pre 2021 but Chinese built ones are fine. Anyway you won’t be interested. Just a last point .. mine has a white interior…

That’s fine. Mine occasionally phantom brakes. But less than my 2015 Golf R did. So that’s a plus. And the Golf…. Understeer anyone? Also my Tesla has 525bhp (tested) and it makes me smile. Not a Caterham
Smile but not bad …

I agree about FSD. As for Tesla, I used to feel like that. After all I drive a Caterham, a Stag and a Honda CB1000R. However 56000 miles and 4 years and, for a daily I wouldn’t go back. The brand is toxic but the cars are a revelation. Remember, every gallon of fossil juice takes 7kW to refine…

What I’ve read here and elsewhere about Tesla AP is crap. Regular AP is great. And most Teslas don’t have FSD enabled. All comments seem a hybrid of FSD panics and AP. FSD is rubbish, AP and enhanced AP is good. A point that you need to know more about your subject before you comment.

I used to love the car, but Gerald Ratner-Musk has made it an embarrassment. That’s the issue, not the car. He is a moron and this is doing the rounds now…

I have a Tesla (my daily). FSD is some sort of unicorn. It’ll be years before it works, if ever. Funny thing is that it’ll be so easy to bully an FSD car. They’re so defensive. Just cut one up. Watch it brake. Move toward one and watch it swerve. Laugh a minute. Yet some people actually trust it

Stripped it and had the parts Cerakoted. And I don’t use the MLU so I didn’t want him to do either. I’d also made my own flocking for the mirror box so he just fixed it for $200. MLU would be good if I needed it but I do my photography hand held.

I have two of these cameras. One was bought as an ARAX and has MLU, the other was bought as a mint Kiev on UK eBay and I found the slow speeds didn’t work so sent it off. Gevorg asked whether I wanted it painted black and/or MLU. His black painting is so amateurish that on the ARAX I have I had

Two cameras I’m thinking of that don’t seem to have been mentioned are the Kiev 4/4A (Contax clones) and the Seagull DF. I had the former until it broke, and the Seagull… if I ever found one in good condition, I’d snap it up just for oddity value. Remember seeing one as a kid in a UK shop.

The excitement this camera seems to have generated… it deserves another picture.

You can still buy them from ARAX in Ukraine. My tip is to buy a Kiev 60 on eBay and see if it works. 70% chance it has issues. Then send it to ARAX to get it serviced. Avoid ARAX’s offer of mirror lockup modification and painting it black. Their painting skills aren’t a patch on their repair skills.

On the glorious 5th year anniversary of our leaving the EU.
Some Brexit benefits:
● The destruction of the Conservative party
● End of Farage and Co embarrassing us in the EU parliament
● MPs no longer being able to blame everything on Brussels
● VAT on private schools
● er.. over to you
