I really hope the reality of this sinks in and that the press and others start to narrate what is happening here. Trump and Vought are destroying trust in an essential function of the government: the ability to credibly enter contracts to achieve any and all public purposes. That's really bad. 🧵/end

Kind of. The PRFB basically gives fellows access to a big pot of money every year. It's up to them how to withdraw it. You can take it all out immediately in one big lump sum, but most people schedule monthly paychecks instead. Before this, I have *never* known payments to get cancelled

I was only partially reimbursed for a faculty interview once. They didn't tell me that would be the case up front either, just shafted me after the fact 🙃
